The small town of Taxco, Mexico is located in the mountains of the State of Guerrero, about three-hours south of Mexico City. Built into a small bowl between the mountains, the topography is radical and the cobblestone streets are not only narrow, but extremely steep.
The shear compactness of these spaces leads to an urban experience like no place else. It is a constantly unfolding, dramatic experience to wander these meandering pathways with no real sense of time or destination. Taxco just may be the most beautiful historic town I’ve found yet.
